Recipients of the SMART scholarship receive full tuition, annual stipends, internships, and guaranteed employment with the Department of Defense (DoD). After completing their degrees, SMART scholars will be hired as DoD civilians.

DOD SMART Scholarship

The term DOD SMART Scholarship and SMART Scholarship are used interchangeably. Are they the same thing? Yes, they are. The Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service Program is a combined educational and career development program for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students financed by the Department of Defense (DoD).

The program’s goal is to expand the number of civilian scientists and engineers who work at DoD laboratories and facilities. Current undergraduate and graduate students studying one of the 21 STEM subjects eligible for funding are encouraged to apply.

Smart Borrower No Essay Scholarship

It should be noted that the ‘smart borrower no essay scholarship’ is not the program with the SMART Scholarship. Most often that, students can’t tell the difference between both scholarships.

The smart borrower no essay scholarship is sponsored by in collaboration with Credible (a website that allows students to compare rates for new loans and loan refinances) with the primary aim of assisting students in making informed decisions about taking out loans. This fellowship is open to students from all disciplines.

There are no particular qualifications to be eligible for this scholarship. All students are encouraged to apply for the scholarship provided they desire to attend a top university and pursue higher education.

To apply for the scholarship, students must fill out an online application and register on the website. The Applicant must provide the requested information.
