The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest

Another popular photography scholarship is the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest. The contest was founded on December 22, 2014, and named after Andrei Stenin, Rossiya Segodnya special photojournalist who was killed in the line of duty in southeastern Ukraine. The competition is open to contestants between the age of 18 to 33 and served as a platform for discovering new photojournalists and for allowing them to make a name for themselves on the world photojournalism stage.

The contest is open to Russian and international photographers between the age of 18 to 33. There is no application fee to participate. Contestants are required to submit up to three images in each category. The pictures submitted must be in a JPG format with a 2200 to 5700 pixels dimension.

The grand prize winner of this contest will receive 700000 Russian Ruble. In each category, there will be three winners as first, second, and third place winners.  Transparency and Accountability Initiative (TAI) Photo Competition

Professional and amateur photographers can take advantage of the Transparency and Accountability Initiative (TAI). The whole essence of the organization is to strengthen accountability and transparency around the world.

Works submitted for the scholarship should deal with a theme relating transparency and accountability of the government and corporate sectors. Contestant for the competition must be up to 18 years from any country.  Contestants are required to submit a minimum of 3 pictures and a maximum of 8 pictures that relates to the theme of the contest.

Images submitted must be in a JPEG/JPG format with high-quality and resolution. The file size should be a maximum of 3MB but not less than 1MB.

The winner will receive a working grand of total $8000 and the opportunity to carry a photographic project to produce about 30 photographs.

HIPA Photography Competition, Dubai

Applicants must be 18 or more to participate in the contest and will have to submit a minimum of 5 pictures and a maximum of 10. Images size should be minimum 1MB to maximum 5MB, and the standard format is JPEG. Photos should maintain an sRGB colour model. Also, it should have EXIF data in the image file.
