All You Need to Know About Tata Scholarship

The Tata Scholarship is sponsored by the Tata Education and Development Trust – a philanthropic affiliate of India’s Tata Group.  The scholarship sets out to support at least 20 students every year. It ensures that Indian students have access to quality education at Cornell University regardless of their financial shortcomings. The scholarship is slated to last for the duration of their undergraduate studies at Cornell.

Qualifications

The scholarship is open to citizens of India and has attended secondary school in India

Applicants for the  Scholarship must have the prospects of being offered admission to Cornell as an undergraduate student;

The scholarship is strictly based on financial need. Applicants must show that they are unable to afford tuition costs at Cornell University.

Tata Scholarship (Cornell University for Indian Students)

The Scholarship is available to Indian citizens who applied for admission to Cornell University. Students who are accepted to the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning; the College of Engineering; the Applied Economics and Management major in the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business; and majors across colleges in the biological sciences, physical sciences, and other “hard” sciences, as well as the social sciences in the university have an added advantage of getting the scholarship as special preference is given to them.

Tata Scholarship for Medical Students

The Tata Trusts Scholarship for medical students is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to receive support in tuition fees and other related fees for pursuing higher education in Medical Sciences and Healthcare streams. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants need to be in their second year of graduation with excellent academic performance.

Tata Trust Scholarship

The Tata Trust Scholarship was established with a $25 million endowment that will allow Cornell to provide financial aid to undergraduate students from India.

Tata Scholarship for Abroad Studies

The Tata Trust Scholarship is only available to Indian students who wish to further their education at Cornell. The scholarship supports 20 students annually and ensures that Indian students have access to quality education at Cornell University

How to Apply

Undergraduate applicants will be eligible for the Tata Scholarship if they have completed the admission application and have applied it for financial aid. All undergraduate applicants must apply for financial assistance by completing the financial aid application process for international students.

To apply for international financial aid, the following documentation is required:

Complete the College Scholarship Service (CSS) PROFILE (Cornell’s CSS code is 2098).

The Office may request additional information on Financial Aid.

Duration

Tata Scholarship funding will last for the duration of the undergraduate degree. Except for the five-year program in architecture.

Ratan Tata Scholarship for Engineering Students is an excellent opportunity for Indian students who wish to pursue an undergraduate engineering course at Cornell. The following Bachelor’s Degree courses are covered under this scholarship:

Jn Tata Endowment Scholarship

The J. N. Tata Endowment awards a one-time loan scholarship to Indian nationals at the beginning of their academic year for full-time postgraduate/Ph.D./Postdoctoral studies/Research Fellowships abroad, in all fields, irrespective of caste, creed, gender or community.

The amount to be awarded to each scholar by way of loan scholarship ranges between Rs.1,00,000/- and Rs.10,00,000/. To be eligible for the JN Tata Endowment Scholarship, applicants must be Indian nationals who have graduated from an accredited India university with a minimum of 60% in their last academic examination. Sir Ratan Tata Scholarship

The Sir Ratan Tata Trust is available for all Indian students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the field of architecture, catering & hotel management, fine arts, LLB, Education, and LLM. The main objective of this scholarship scheme is to support students in making a bright future without any financial aid. Scholars are awarders. 6,00,000/- (Six Lakhs) each, payable in two equal installments for Indian students at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. Hostel and other fees are not covered under the scholarship.

Ratan Tata Scholarship Form

The Sri Ratan Tata scholarship form 2020 is available on the official website. Students can also obtain the application form by visiting Mulla House, 3rd Floor, 51, M. G. Road, Fort, Mumbai – 400 001. Students are adjoined to fill the application form very correctly without any error. The following documents are required to be attached to the application form:

Tata Scholarship for Masters

Indian graduates who wish to pursue a master’s degree can apply for the scholarship; the scholarship is available to all Indians irrespective of caste, creed, gender, or community.

Tata Trust

The Tata Trust was established in 1932, making it is one of the oldest non-sectarian philanthropic organizations in India. The Tata trust’s main objective was to maintain and support schools, educational institutions, and hospitals and offer financial aid to the Indian students by giving scholarships. This is seen in the manifestation of the Tata Trust Scholarship 2020.

Tata Fellowship

The Tata Fellowship is an opportunity for young scientists, teachers, and researchers from developing countries worldwide to undertake research studies in India. About 10 Fellowships are provided annually, and the Tata Fellowship is slated to last for three months.

On successful completion of the program, the awardees are required to submit a brief report to the center and participate in subsequent feedback requirements on the usefulness of the program in their home country. The fellowship covers return airfare from work in their home country to work in India, boarding and lodging at the affiliated institution/s, and an adequate allowance in Indian currency to cover incidental expenses.
