The educational award has the purpose of supporting Malaysian citizens who are national athletes and represented Malaysia in sports for undertaking an undergraduate degree program at the university.

The educational bursary will provide an amount of RM5, 000 per semester, subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress and sporting performance, as determined by Monash Malaysia.

 Monash Sports Scholarship for Malaysian Candidates Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Citizens from Malaysia are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: They can pursue an undergraduate degree program in any field offered by the university.
  • Admissible Criteria: An applicant must be a national athlete with a verification letter from the National Sports Council of Malaysia.


  • How to Apply for the Monash Sports Scholarship for Malaysian Candidates: Monash would like to suggest applicants that they need to take admission in an undergraduate degree program at the university. Once they complete their admission, they can apply for the grant at the Scholarship and Study Loan Administration Office.
  • Supporting Documents: At the time of admission, the participants might be asked to submit their academic transcripts, curriculum vitae, language ability proof, and a copy of the passport.
  • Admission Requirements: An ideal candidate must complete an Australian year 12 qualification for being registered in a bachelor program.
  • Language Requirement: Students must have good proficiency in the English language.
