Atlas Service Corps Fellowship and Job Openings 2020 – Apply

Atlas Service Corps, Inc. (Atlas Corps), started as far back as 2006. The incorporation is an international network leader and organization that promotes cooperation, innovation, and solutions to address the current world’s challenges. Atlas Corps fellowship is open for individuals willing to learn the organization’s best practices and return home to create a network of global changemakers.

Atlas Service Fellowship

Atlas Corps Fellowship is currently going on for persons willing to work for the non-profit organization. The Fellowship will last for 12 to 18 months at the end of the program; fellows are expected to return to their countries and regions to multiply knowledge. They share the skills, effective practices, valuable experiences, and the global network of changemakers they gained during the Fellowship.

Eligibility for the Atlas Service Corps Fellowship

Applicants for the fellowship position must have the years of relevant experience (at least two years)

Applicants are expected to have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an accredited institution

English proficiency  both oral, writing and reading is required

Applicants must be 35 years or younger

Applicants must apply to serve in a country other than where they are from, for instance, U.S. citizens are not considered eligible for the U.S. Fellowship

Applicants must show commitment to return to your home country after the 12-18 month Fellowship

The fellowship program will cover basic stipend of food, shared housing, and local transportation

Applicants are required to register for an account and save their login information through the online application system

The application process consists of a brief eligibility test to check if applicants meet the necessary requirements of the Fellowship. Applicants that pass the initial eligibility test will be asked to give information on other details like passport, travel/visa history, language skills, employment history, professional skills, and social issues. Applicants are also required to complete three short essay questions.

Applicants are also required to upload an official transcript or diploma from previously attended universities and two recommendations from persons who know them professionally.

Selection Process

Top applicants are selected for an interview via Skype with the Atlas Corps Selection Board.

Applicants that pass the first stage (i.e., the interview stage) are considered Semi-Finalist and are qualified to be reviewed by potential Host Organizations for placements based on their skillset, and organization’s needs.

Host Organizations invite Semi-Finalists that best match their positions to conduct Skype video interviews with them, moving on to the Finalist stage.

Based on recommendations made by the host Organizations, Atlas Corps will inform the shortlisted applicants and proceed to make the necessary logistical arrangements to prepare for the Fellowship.

Semi-Finalists who are not selected by a Host Organization will be notified and may be given the option to keep their application on file for consideration for the next class of the Fellowship.

Atlas Programme

The U.S. State Department supports the Atlas Fellowship Programme, and the Fellowship is particularly interested in rising leaders from Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Palestinian Territories, Jordan, Morocco, and Russia.

Fellows serve full-time with Host Organizations to develop leadership skills and learn effective practices through the Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab professional development series and networking opportunities with other Fellows. Some of the Host Organizations include Obama Foundation, Nestle, Mozilla Foundation, Microsoft, Massachusetts General Hospital, Laureate International Universities, etc.

Through this Fellowship, Atlas Corps seeks to advance the U.S. State Department Education and Cultural Exchange Bureau’s Mission: To promote mutual understanding through people-to-people exchanges and to further U.S. foreign policy objectives by engaging international exchange visitors and American communities in a diversity of positive, safe, and enriching educational, cultural and professional exchange programs.

Atlas Visa

Atlas Corps provides documentation to secure a J-1, Exchange Visitor visa (trainee designation). Atlas Corps does not provide visa sponsorship or documentation for spouses or other family members of a fellow. Atlas Corps does not sponsor J-2 visas (nonimmigrant visa) or B-2 (visitor) visa

Atla Jobs

The position of an accounting associate is available at Atlas Corps. Applicants for this position must have professional experience, training in accounting, and a desire to join the finance team at Atlas Corps. The starting salary for this position will be $35,000-$38,000. Salaries increase with tenure, increased responsibility, and size of the organization.  Visit the Atlas career page to apply.
