Haryana Scholarship Scheme

Haryana state, in a bid to make education affordable to the Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes, various scholarship schemes were introduced for students of Haryana belonging to Minority, SC, ST, OBC, and merit students.

The Well-being of scheduled caste and reverse classes have established various Haryana schemes for the upliftment and welfare of SC/ST /OBC candidates, which are monitored by E Portal haryanascbc.gov.in.

Ambedkar Scholarship Haryana 2019

The Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhattar Sanshodhit Yojna scholarship program was organized by the  Government’s Welfare of Scheduled Class and Backward Classes. This scholarship program’s objective is to assist deserving students in planning classes (ST) and reverse classes (BC) with monthly financial support. Recipient of the scholarship will receive Rs 8000 to 12,000 per annum.

Post Matric Scholarship Haryana

The Post Matric Scholarship was launched in 2007-08 for Backward Classes students studying in Post Matric Classes to Postgraduate classes. Applicants of the scholarship must be domiciled in Haryana & must belong to Backward Class. The annual income of the applicant’s parents/guardians should not exceed Rs 1,00,000. Applicants can apply through the  website and apply to the concerned institution.

Haryana Welfare Scholarship

The Scholarship was designed by the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Caste & Backward Classes in India. Students who are not financially capable can benefit from the scholarship.

Higher Education Scholarship Haryana

The scholarship was designed to support higher education for students pursuing a B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in science and technology. The scholarship will cover:

3-year Bachelor in Science (B.Sc.)

4-year BS

5-year Integrated M.Sc./MS

2-year Master of Science (M.Sc.)

Eligibility Criteria

Students must fulfill the following criteria to be considered:

Applicants must be domiciled in Haryana’ state and belong to a minority community.

The applicant’s family income should be below 2.5 Lakh annually.

Students pursuing a postgraduate or undergraduate degree from an accredited institution are eligible to apply.

Students must have secured a minimum of 60% attendance in the class.

Attested copies of the previous examination certificates and mark sheets

Attested copies of caste/tribes and income certificate

Attested copy of ration card

Photocopy of income declaration

Attested copy of domicile certificate

Hostel certificate from the concerned warden (only for SC candidates)

Photocopy of the first page of bank passbook in the name of the student

Attested copy of the receipt of tuition fee/other charges

Rewards

The amount to be awarded in the Scholarship Schemes is dependent on the type of scholarship. The scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the shortlisted candidate’s bank account through DBT.

Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Yojana awards Rs. 8,000 – to Rs. 12,000 per annum

Haryanas Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students awards Rs. 160 – to Rs. 750 per month

Post Matric for SC Students awards Rs. 230- to Rs. 12,00 per month

Haryanas POSE Scholarship awards Rs. 4000 per month during the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year and Rs. 6000 per month during 4th and 5th to students pursuing B.Sc., M.Sc., 4-year BS, and 5-year Integrated M.Sc./MS

NMMS Scholarship awards Rs. 12,000 per annum

NTSE Scholarship awards Rs. 1,250 per month for 11th and 12th class students and Rs. 2,000 per month for graduate and postgraduate students

Consolidated Stipend Scheme for SC Students awards Rs. 1000 per month as stipend and Rs. 2000 for books purchase

HSCST Fellowship for Ph.D. awards Rs. 18,000 per month for the first 2 years for JRF and Rs. 21,000 per month for the 3rd and following years.

There is no known deadline for the Scholarship as applications are accepted all year round.
