Against the Grain Artistic Scholarship

Asian students in American universities can take advantage of Against the Grain Artistic Scholarships. The organization was purposely established to provide financial support to Asian American college students and offers four scholarships per year with a specific requirement.

The organization offers four different scholarships with different eligibility requirements. The applicant will have to visit Against the Grain Artistic Scholarship website for the individual requirements of the scholarships.

The scholarship is only open to Asian students (applicant has to be of at least 25% Asian) and a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the US.

A 750 words essay on any art-related topic

A short essay answering the question, “What does it mean to you to go Against the Grain? How do you go Against the Grain?”

Letters of recommendation

Artistic portfolio showcasing the applicant’s work. Videos should be 3 to 5 minutes long.

CRCA Scholarship

CRCA is an acronym for Chicago Roofing Contractors Association. The Association as a way to contribute back to society is awarding $4,000 scholarships annually.

The scholarship was designed for high school seniors with the intention to pursue liberal arts and sciences, engineering, architecture or business in college.

Applicants for the scholarship must be a high school senior to be accepted as full-time students into undergraduate degree programs at an accredited college to study a 4-year course in liberal arts and sciences, engineering, architecture, or business.

Applicants must have an ACT composite of 29 or higher or SAT equivalent and must be US citizens.

To apply for the scholarship, students will have to fill the complete form on CRCA scholarship website  and also complete two personal evaluation sheets with a 1-page letter of recommendation, an official transcript of all high school records and official ACT or SAT results.

The selection will be based on academic performance, faculty recommendation, extracurricular activities, employment experience.

The scholarship is renewable only if a student manages to maintain a 2.75-grade point average, based upon a 4.0 system, and it can be renewed three times.

Ehrlich Rominger Scholarship

Santa Clara County residents with currently pursuing a degree in architecture can apply for the Ehrlich Rominger Scholarship. The scholarship awards $5,000 to two lucky recipients of the scholarship. Mr Joseph Ehrlich created the Ehrlich Rominger Scholarship Fund and Mr Jack Rominger with the sole mission was to assist future architectural professionals.

The eligibility requirements for the scholarship are not stringent. Applicants will have to be enrolled in a college or university program related to architecture and be the resident of Santa Clara and citizens/permanent residents of the United States. Applicants will have to fill the application form on the Ehrlich Rominger Scholarship website and attach the documents indicated in the application form. An artistic portfolio which will demonstrate the applicant’s design abilities is required (Not more the 24MB.)

Applicants will have to submit a written statement of personal goals related to architecture, two letters of recommendation from professors and professional architects and proof of enrollment in an institution which will provide you with a degree in Architecture.

Shade Sail Design Challenge Scholarship

Tenshon is proud to offer a fantastic new scholarship opportunity for students who are ready to put their brains to work. Shade Sail Design Challenge Scholarship is aimed at college students who are interested in architecture, design, and/or engineering.

The scholarship award amount is $1,500.00 per semester, and the application deadlines are July 15th for the Fall Semester and December 15th for Spring Semester.

The scholarship will be awarded to the student who takes the challenge of creating a unique shade sail structure using the existing standard sized shade sails, which can be found on the scholarship provider’s official website.

To be considered eligible, you must be a currently enrolled college student and must utilize only our standard shade sails.

Plus, you must include at least two shade sails in the design and all designs must consist of more than just a stand-alone shade sail.

Once submitted, all designs will become the property of Tenshon.

Black women can apply for the ZONTA Milwaukee Scholarship. Zonta International is an organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.
