The University of Oxford invites applications for Oppenheimer Fund Scholarship at Oxford University 2020 particularly reserved for graduates from any South African University.

The award given by the scholarship is usually affiliated with other scholarship schemes such as Clarendon and Commonwealth to give a full-term scholarship. The scholarship is available for both part-time masters and Ph.D. students who are graduates from any South African university. Robert Oppenheimer was an American theoretical physicist. J Robert had his undergraduate studies at Harvard University, Oppenheimer excelled in Latin, Greek, physics, and chemistry, published poetry, and studied Eastern philosophy. Eligibility for the Oppenheimer Fund Scholarship at Oxford University

  • Applicants must have applied for a postgraduate course at the University of Oxford and must have studied in a South African University.
  • The scholarship is given to applicants based on their academic excellence and performance
  • The scholarship is not open to applicants applying for part-time post-graduate studies.
  • Applicants who defer admission to another academic session are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • For post-graduate studies that take more than a year for completion, applicants can renew the scholarship every year provided they keep good grades.

How to apply for the Oppenheimer Fund Scholarship at Oxford University

You will be considered for The Oppenheimer Fund Scholarship at Oxford University automatically hence there’s no need for a separate scholarship application form. You will be considered for this scholarship based on the following grounds.

  • You must submit your course application before the end of the January admission deadline.

Application deadline – 8th to 19th January 2020 depending on your course of study. However, to be eligible for the scholarship you must have applied for postgraduate admission into the University of Oxford before January 30th.

Note that the selection of the scholarship takes place between late February and July 2020.
